Already There (from L to R): Stack of Fabric w/Ribbon (AKA Being-Finished Autumn Exchange), Fibers from Santa Arrives Tonight (but I'm using one to finish the aforementioned...), and a long print-out of the candidates for the When Witches Personalization.
This was going to be 2010's "Us Ornament", but Dear Marc has indicated a tangible hostility for "Santa's Mu-mu(sp?)". I tried telling him it's "European Santa", but he is unmoved. SO...already considering what I'll stitch to "replace" it. This one will get an regular no-dedication-to-marc sort of finish, lol!
A close-up; feels like I'm "ALMOST DONE"...but I've still got the over-one initial. And all that fill in. And what about the moon. ;)
So! Again I beg help from blogland--A question for you Prairie Schoolers out there: I've been eyeing PS Book 110: Santa And Friends, which has four Snowy-Woods Nighttime scene Santa ornaments. What ARE the animals in the ornament in the top/North position? Is there a Fox???
The East features geese and cardinals, elk and more cardinals to the South, Rabbits and, umn, squirrels at west, But the North? The animal on the sleigh; the one running alongside...they could both be young deer...or...could one be a fox??? I have googled and googled, but just can not find a picture to clear up the mystery. Thanks so much to anyone who can help--I am fox-crazy, so this might be the one (if it really has a fox...)

My thoughts are they are foxes. Lovely WIP!!
Love both of your wips. Including Santa's mumu. :) Actually I beieve it is a long coat rather than a mumu.
As for the animal. I am sure it is a fox. Too small for a dear.
They definitely look like foxes to me. Your WIPs look great - and your desk is so tidy! Much tidier than mine right now ;)
I'd say foxes!
And I agree with Kathy - I'd prefer to think of it as Santa's coat.
Do you have the pattern "Red Fox in Winter"? I think that is what it is called - and I believe it is an older Leisure Arts pattern. I think I have it in my stash.
Love your desk shot - great pieces all! I think those animals are foxes, but who knows. lol! Your WIP is so pretty!
You are coming right along on your projects and they are looking fabulous! And I agree with the previous comments, those critters are definitely of the fox variety. As for the moon, since I didn't get a chance to offer my 2 cents on your earlier post, I'd vote for filling it in with a slightly different color.
Love your blog and all the pictures!
I think they are foxes too. Loved looking at your WIPs.

Santa's Mumu! Hilarious.
I'm certain the animal in #110 is a fox. I like the checkerboard moon too!
I think that they are foxes too! Your stitching looks great!
Chris
Silly Marc! That's a trench coat. :oP Both of your WIP's look great Berit. I can't help you with the other PS but it sure looks like a fox to me.
LOL - I didn't know what a 'mumu' was so looked it up on google. I got a few 'peculiar' websites, but eventually found 'mumu' has it's own wiki page!! It looks like there's a lot of filling in on Santa's coat (no photos of a mumu on the wiki page so the offending garment still looks like a coat to me - sorry Marc!) good luck with that!
The mystery animals do indeed look like foxes to me.
Thank you for the lovely message you left on my post, it really means a lot to me.
Lovely, lovely stitching dear :-)
Me, personally, I would fill in the moon using the same colour of floss or a slightly lighter DMC shade. The effect will be lush.
The animal on the PS chart is so a fox. The pointy noses make it a cert for me.
You'll have to tell Marc that Santa is following the trend on the catwalks this season :-) LOL
P.S. What colour are you using behing the cats and pumpkin in the banner at the top of 'witches' it is divine!
Lovely projects. They certainly look like foxes to me.
Yes, it's a muumuu! He's expecting....!
I definitely prefer those other Santas on that series of ornaments, including the one with the fox.
And the picture of your desk is so appealing. I think the new shelf does wonders for the aesthetic. It's brighter than my desk at work....ah, my kingdom for windows. :(
Definitely looks like a fox to me. Gosh isn't your desk so very tidy?? I wish I could keep mine like that. x
Is there a big pile of junk just out of the photo or did you really clean your workspace? LOL
Awesome WIPS, even the Mumu'd Santa Claus. My guess is those are foxes ~ go for it!
Your WIPs look absolutely great. And so does your desk - I wish I could keep mine as tidy as yours is.
For me these animals are foxes.
Love your WIPs. Such lovely pieces. I rather like that Santa!
I think foxes too. They look more like foxes than anything else.
Berit, I'm so jealous of your uber-organized craft space! How relaxing and inviting your little desk is... completely the opposite of mine! Maybe that's why I don't go in there more often... ; ) I love the European Santa, BTW. And that looks alot like my treadle Singer!
Great WIPs, and lolol re: the "Moomoo" (that's not really how it's spelled, but it's how I think of them!). :)
Love those PS ornaments! They have such great Christmas patterns! Can't wait to see which you choose.
Have a great week!
I vote for foxes, too. Love the WIP progress--especially the mumu! ;) Santa has to appeal to everybody, even the cross dressers!
Oh, I think I'm becoming a PS addict too, and your blog makes me want more and more of these charts...
I see a fox in the foreground, less sure for the one on the sled. May be a young deer?
Amazing stitching, Berit, as always...
Hugs,
Lili
Glad to discovered your beautiful blog, Berit. Love your WIP and your work station; very neat and organize. I love PS charts too. That animal looks like a fox to me. :)
Your wips are gorgeous and they look like foxes to me.
Nice Wips! For that PS they are foxes. Deers' tails would be much shorter and when you look at the length of the animals compared to the height, definitely FOX! Jane
PS: Nice blog. Enjoying my visit.
