Saturday's Stitching

It's not Christmas Ornament finishing, but..."B"?

There's an ornament! :D And that's Jenny Bean's Christmas Sampler. And the wonderful red fox (and bunny) tote from Myra which I use to hold q-snaps when I am home.

"Be"!

I thought stitching myself a valentine was just the thing when I saw this early Saturday evening.

Design: "~* Be My Valentine Freebie *~" by Primitive Betty's
Fabric: 36 ct. Days Gone By
Fiber: DMC 115 (of course)

If you feel like you'd better love yourself a little more, why not make one for yourself?

I want to finish it using some of that twisted cord made from DMC I see around the internets; but I don't know how to make it. Do you, dear reader? Or do you know a good tutorial? Does one need a tool to construct it?

THANK YOU for your wonderful comments and good wishes. I am doing my best to hang in there, still, and meanwhile trying not to over-succumb to the cold Marc brought home. I have hopes of making replies to your kind comments soon. ;)

Love your Valentine Berit! Some tutorials on Pinterest, just one of many links below. It's done with yarn, but gives you a close up idea! Would be so pretty in DMC 115!

Love your Valentine finish and the PS Santa. I must stitch that one this year! No hints on the cording. I just muddle through with mine!!

Lovely Valentine's stitching, Berit--I need to do a couple of those myself :) As far as the cording--I use a Kreinik corder for mine, but I've read you can use a drill and get the same results! Good luck--it really isn't difficult :)

Stay healthy...

Very pretty, and what a beautiful thread.

Pretty Berit. You could use that B as a monogram. :o) Vonna has a good tute on her finishing site for twisted cording.

I love the HoHoHo Santa, but then I do love all PS Santas, lol.
What a nice Valentine stitching you were finishing here. I'm sure that in the meantime you found a tutorial for the cording that you want to use on the Valentine ornament. It's really easy to do (but I can't explain it in English, maybe even not in German, lol) and you don't depend on the colours that are offered when you buy the cording but you can choose your own colours.
